ABOUT ME
I’m Dianne Jacobson. I have Diplomas in Transpersonal Counselling and Transpersonal Art Therapy and Certificates in Reiki & Seichem (Master Level).
My counselling is client-centered. It works with the whole person, mind body and spirit and focuses on accessing your own deeper levels of wisdom, creativity and potentiality to aid self-healing, self-development and self realization rather than concentrating on external activities and material concerns.
My role as counsellor is to provide you with a safe place to explore these resources and potentials for healing within yourself. To provide you with a listening ear that neither judges nor analyses what you say but assists you to deepen your own understanding.
I use a creative approach to counselling, drawing on ancient and modern systems, particularly utilizing the shamanic model, dream work, body focusing, personal journeys, altered states of consciousness and expression through art and play.
I work holistically, being conscious of mind, body, emotion, energy, spirit and environment. I have tools and techniques available to me which can help you access and integrate the different parts of your being. Whilst the work goes beyond only talking and thinking, it also recognizes these as vital facets of self. It is important to make sense and meaning of our experience.
Workshops will be available from time to time on meditation, communication, art therapy and dream work just to name a few.
